I’m a yoga teacher inspired by Iyengar, Anusara, and Vinyasa flow as well as a conscious activist with a degree in Sociology from California State University, Northridge. I stepped into my first yoga class as a rebellious, stressed out college student and started the journey inward coming to realize: "Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world." "Today I am wise so I'm changing myself." The journey continued with a teacher training at Black Dog Yoga and many other trainings including Trauma Informed Training with Uprising Yoga and Yoga, Purpose, and Action Leadership Training with Off the Mat into the World. Now, I’m sharing that journey with others at various studios and gyms around the Los Angeles area and with my private clients.
Teaching is my passion. I've dedicated myself to creating a compassionate learning environment that is both physically challenging and thought provoking. Promoting healing from the inside out, as well as building confidence and strength are key components to my classes. With a fun-loving attitude, high energy, and innovative teaching skills, my goal is to have students leave class feeling empowered, rejuvenated, and connected to a community.
Yoga is more than exercise, it is a way to remember our connection to body, mind, and spirit. It is my intention for the practice on the mat to lead to social justice and equality off the mat so we can truly live as one. I love to work with a wide range of mobilities, ages, and shapes because I sincerely believe yoga will benefit all and bring us closer to our authentic Self.
