Yoga - all levels
I have been teaching yoga, fitness and movement arts for 25 years. I’ve studied various practices such as: gymnastics, ballet, pilates, weight-lifting and martial arts. I enjoy incorporating these into a rich and satisfying body movement experience. I’ve developed a passion for yoga and fitness from an early age watching my mother teach yoga.
I’m available to teach privately or group classes. Yoga is a transformative experience of connecting movement and breath. Teaching yoga is an uplifting privilege that continues to motivate and inspire me. Classes combine flowing postures with deep slow static stretches, breath work and concentrated core work to offer a complete and balanced class. My style is dynamic and instructional, with attention to core-strength and postural alignment.
Private sessions are available for students that require personal attention in the enhancement of their yoga practice. I incorporate Pilates, Dance Barre, Weightlifting to any fitness program or class. Recently, I have been incorporating foam rolling and myofascial therapy into Yoga, Meditation and Stretch classes. I’m available at your place of business for Corporate Yoga programs designed to reduce workplace stress.
I completed a Yoga Certification in 1996 with Bryan Kest at Santa Monica Power Yoga. Additionally, I attended Teachers Training in 1997 at Yoga Works, Santa Monica, with senior teachers including: Shandor Remete, Gary Kraftsow, Richard Freeman, Rod Stryker, Erich Schiffmann, Lisa Walford, Dona Holleman and Cameron Shane.
